Why is it that, given the lack of rain, those in charge are talking about all the things that citizens can do to save water ? I would like an explanation of why all the reservoirs in the area are empty. These lakes were semi full to full at the end of the summer in 2013. They were drained (as they are in every year ) to the bare minimum with levels only to support fish life. If these reservoirs had been left at half full or more we would have been much better off. They could have been lowered as rain came in during the winter.
What good does it do to have thousands of satellites to forecast weather patters when they are obviously ignored.
I have a concern about the water shortage: If we have to take mandatory measures then why do those big company water trucks get to keep taking from our rivers? I feel they should have to limit how much they take. I know it all boils down to money and politics but it seems unfair. I see around 40 or more trucks a day come out of the Tuolumne canyon and that seem like too much when our community has no water.
