Sonora, CA – In 2016, Adventist Health Sonora assembled its first Patient and Family Advisory Council to gather feedback from the unique perspectives of patients and their families. The council of 10 community members has been meeting quarterly to provide ideas for improvement and discuss topics related to patient- and family-centered health care such as customer service, patient care, health plans and opportunities for new services.
Adventist Health Sonora has taken the council’s feedback and ideas to improve quality, safety and patient experience and is looking to continue the work of this important group. By bringing in new members, Adventist Health Sonora hopes to gain further insight to the health care needs of our community and continually improve patient care.
