The Summerville High School Career Technical Education Department and Senior Wyatt Castongia will be hosting a College and Career Fair on February 27th from 8:15-12:15 pm in the small gym. The focus will be on bringing in colleges and local career information for all students to attend and learn more about. This will be Wyatt’s Senior Project and the first time Summerville has hosted this type of event.
“It seemed like a fun project that was needed at the school to help students start thinking about different careers and opportunities locally” Castongia 18 yrs.
The goal is that this will be an annual event and will grow each year.
“We are hoping for about 30 different vendors mostly from our county and the surrounding areas. We hope to have four or five colleges and some educational and non-profit tables as well.” Castongia.
