Studio 4 Dance Theater proudly announces its much-anticipated annual Student Showcase, set to dazzle audiences at the Bret Harte Theater in Angels Camp this May. Mark your calendars for an inspiring display of talent, creativity, and hard work as our dancers bring a vibrant mix of dance styles to the stage.
When: May 9, 2025 at 7:00pm and May 10, 2025, at 2:00pm & 7:00pm
This year’s production features six genres of dance, including jazz, contemporary, lyrical, ballet, hip hop, and Broadway jazz, highlighting the diversity and depth of talent nurtured at the Studio 4 School of Dance. Under the guidance of Artistic Director Tammie Lee, the Showcase continues a long-standing tradition of providing enriching experiences for students and memorable performances for the community.
The Showcase will feature exciting new choreography. Sydnie Warren, a new teacher at Studio 4, will debut lively pieces in a kids’ jazz number and a hip-hop piece. Ruby Eustis-Smith, Studio 4 alumni and returning choreographer, will present a charming kids’ ballet and the grand finale ballet. Sarah Long, Co-Director, will offer a powerful contemporary number.
Senior student choreographers include Abigail Fuqua with a lyrical piece, Anastacia Sharp with both a Broadway Jazz number and a ballet solo, and Gracie Strand who will showcase her lyrical dance.
Linda Hein, student choreographer, will present a contemporary piece. New student choreographers this year include Hazel Zeman, who choreographed a contemporary number, Devon Barnett and Augustina McHardy, who collaborated on a high-energy hip hop performance.
Artistic Director Tammie Lee shares, “The Student Showcase is not just a performance — it’s a journey. Our students learn so much more than choreography. Director Sarah Long and I mentor the student choreographers as they gain real-world production experience in mentoring younger dancers, budgeting, costume design and ordering, scheduling, time management, and leadership. We are so proud to see them grow both on and off the stage.”
Event Details:
Ticket prices are $15 for Adults and $10 for Youth (17 and younger) and can be purchased at the door one hour before each performance. Doors open 30 minutes prior to showtime.
