The Sonora Writers Group meets every second Saturday of each Month. This Saturday’s meeting is November 11th from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM.

Author Connie Tate will be the guest presenter for November’s meeting. Tate, Ed.D, has worked in education for over 40 years-most recent as a Director for the San Joaquin Office of Education. Her own love of reading led her to specialize in English Language Learners and best practice for all readers. Being the mother of three grown children and ten grandchildren has made Tate a natural storyteller.

“Roll On”, published by Lucky Penny Publishing, Inc. is Connie Tate’s first novel, written for children of all ages. “Roll On”, is a fun tale of a child’s wondrous first visit to a farmers market. It can be found at Amazon Books.Com.

Tate will share her journey writing, finding the perfect graphic artist and her process in choosing her publisher. She will also have her book available for anyone wishing to give the children in their lives an extra special Christmas gift.

The Sonora Writers Group hosts public readings and organize book signings and other literary events for the public and local authors throughout the Motherlode.

Anyone interested in attending and sharing their original work may bring 3-4 pages double-spaced with copies for group critiquing.

The public is always welcomed and encouraged to come visit. Contact the Sonora Writers Group for location and to reserve your space,
