Smokey Bear’s 75th Birthday Celebration

Tuolumne County Fire, CAL FIRE Tuolumne- Calaveras Unit, and the Stanislaus National Forest are celebrating Smokey Bear’s 75th birthday with a special storytime, party and public safety event at Heaven for Kids park on Friday, August 9th, 2019. Storytime will begin at 10 a.m. for birthday cardmaking and the presentation of “The True Story of Smokey Bear” at the Tuolumne County Library – 480 Greenley Road Sonora, CA 95370.
The party will begin immediately following the library’s storytime at approximately 11 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. We are hoping that you and your family will join us to celebrate with these free events while learning about personal safety, and connecting with local emergency services staff. There will also be games for the kids and birthday goodie bags
