The newly formed Mother Lode League of Women Voters is hosting a showing of RBG, the award-winning biographical documentary on the life and career of Ruth Bader Ginsburg at the Sonora High School Auditorium, 430 N. Washington, on Wednesday, Oct. 17. A reception will be held at 6:00 pm, followed by the film at 7:00 pm. A.O. Scott of the NYT describes the film as “Loving and Informative.”
In keeping with Justice Ginsburg’s signature style of wearing lace collars, known as jabots, over her robe, attendees may also enter a raffle to win their own beautiful vintage jabot.
Tickets are available for $10 at the Mountain Bookshop in Sonora, Sustenance Books in Murphys, and if not sold out, at the door on the night of the event.
