Nancy’s Hope Thrift Store & Community Center presents its 6th annual Spring Tea & Fashion Show, to be held on Sunday, April 30, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in Faith Hall at the Church of the 49ers in Columbia. The church is located at the intersection of Parrotts Ferry Road and Jackson Street in Columbia.
Tickets are $20 adults, $15 youth ages 12-18, and free for children. Tickets available at Nancy’s Hope Thrift Store, 797 W. Stockton St., Sonora or call 209-533-2647
Refreshments are offered while guests enjoy a fashion show of apparel from the Nancy’s Hope Thrift Store. All are encouraged to wear fanciful hats and compete for a prize, participate in the basket raffle, and purchase treasures at the silent auction.
The Tea & Fashion Show is a fundraiser — proceeds benefit Nancy’s Hope, a nonprofit thrift store specializing in community programs to assist struggling Tuolumne County residents with the basics: food, clothing, household goods, friendship. Some of the community programs include a food bank (two locations), free backpacks for school children, and a blanket and coat giveaway, and scholarships. Also, Dress for Success provides clothing for job-seekers, and Fresh Start offers basic items for setting up a new household.
