The Small Livestock Auction at the Mother Lode Fair begins at 2:30 PM in the livestock barn. Available for purchase are market goats, a pygmy goat, meat rabbits and pet rabbits. Any animal purchased may be taken home live. The buyer may choose resale for the market goats, where the goat is resold at market price and that amount is returned to the buyer. Processed market rabbits are available for pick-up the following day, Monday July 8 from 4-5 PM, fresh not frozen! There are no turkeys or chickens at the Fair this year due to the outbreak of Newcastle Disease in California.
Buyers receive 2 complimentary adult tickets to the Bob Miller Memorial BBQ for every lot purchased. The BBQ follows the auction at 4:00 on the livestock lawn and includes goat, rabbit, turkey and chicken. Additional BBQ tickets may be purchased at the event.
