Mariposa Gem & Mineral Club Hosts Rockin Tailgate Rock Swap

On Saturday June 6th over 40 vendors will be set up in the Mariposa County Fairgrounds parking lot. From 10am – 5pm there will be mineral specimens, lapidary materials, jewelry, gems, fossils, beads, lapidary tools and equipment, a geode cracking booth and much more. There will be a food truck on site as well. This event is free to the public for buying and swapping and only $10 for a vendor space. The weather report says it will be a comfortable 77 degrees the day of the swap meet.
The Mariposa Gem & Mineral Club is providing hand washing stations in the parking lot and will have masks available to whomever needs one (while supplies last). Furthermore, the vendors will be spread out more than usual to keep enough distance between booths and to avoid crowding. The Club will be reminding people to be patient and respect social distancing guidelines.
If you are interested in being a vendor please remember this is an informal tailgate and you will need to bring your own tables, shade canopies, chairs, etc. Please contact Mariposa Gem & Mineral Club on their Facebook page or email at mgmc@sti.net to reserve a booth space. The $10 fee is payable the day of the event.
