Tuolumne, CA – The Tuolumne County Air Pollution Control District in cooperation with SMCI Slash Site and Green Works, LLC are offering a Free Green Waste Drop Off Program.
Saturday, April 30th; Thursday, May 12th; Saturday, May 28th; Thursday June 9th; and Saturday, June 18th are Free Green Waste Drop Off days for Tuolumne County residents only. No Commercial Haulers or Businesses will be allowed to drop off green waste.
Residents can make multiple trips, on the program dates provided above, to drop off green waste material at no charge. Residents must show a government ID card or other valid proof of residency.
SMCI Slash site (formerly Plainview) is located on Plainview Drive off of Highway 108, across from the west entrance to Twain Harte. Their hours of operation are 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Greenworks, LLC is located at 18629 Eagle Ridge Drive, Sonora. Their hours of operation are 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Acceptable Drop Off Items include: Clean Vegetation; Garden Waste; Pine Needles/Cones; Bark; Lawn Trimmings; Small Trees/Brush/Limbs; Wood Chips; and Woody Material.
Unacceptable Items include: Garbage Refuse; Non-Vegetative Material; Food/Pet Waste; Tree Stumps; Business Green Waste; and Contractor Green Waste.
