Find answers at local bonsai club workshop
Immediately following its monthly meeting on Saturday, November 5 at 10 a.m., the Mother Lode Bonsai Club will conduct a free hands-on training workshop at the San Andreas Central Library, 1299 Gold Hunter Road (off Mountain Ranch Road) in San Andreas.
Participants are encouraged to bring their plant/tree, tools, wire, and table covering for the educational activity. Designing, styling and pruning ideas will be suggested by club mentors. This is an opportunity for newcomers to learn about this ancient craft and see firsthand how to raise miniature trees in pots. A raffle with bonsai trees, pots and basic supplies will also be conducted.
Mother Lode Bonsai Club members come from Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne counties, as well as the San Joaquin Valley. Everyone is invited to attend regardless of their levels of experience. For more information, contact Doug Lau at dlauhale@gmail.com.
