Film on Homelessness and Discussion by League of Women Voters

The League of Women Voters of the Mother Lode will kick off its new quarterly film series, Films in Focus, with the film “The Way Home” on Friday, April 28. This first film is part of a documentary series that focuses on homelessness, a significant subject of interest and concern in our communities. The film will be followed by a question and answer session with panelists who are knowledgeable and currently working to overcome the challenges of homelessness.
The panelists are: Michael Roberson, Tuolumne County Homeless Services Coordinator; A representative from Tuolumne County Health and Human Services; Mark Dyken, Resiliency Village; Hazel Mitchell, Give Someone a Chance; and Jan Salazar, a homeless activist who was previously homeless herself.
There will be light refreshments and an opportunity for further discussion from 8:00-8:30 pm following the film and panel Q&A.
