Twain Harte’s Concerts in the Pines is a free summer event in Eproson Park featuring Friday night concerts June through August. The location is surrounded by beautiful pine trees in the transition zone between the oak forest of the California foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains at an elevation of 3,640 feet. Summers are warm during the day and the nights are generally mild–perfect for concerts and dancing.
The band performs on an elevated stage with a paved area at its base. The crowd is not shy and usually there’s plenty of dancing and shaking going on. Bands deliver mostly rock and dance music to stir the crowd. There are vendors selling beverages, pizza and other tasty foods, and there’s plenty of room to bring lawn chairs for sitting and rocking (to the music) in a grassy lawn.
