“Chairs, Chairs, Chairs – For the Arts, Everyone has a Seat” TCA fundraiser has set a date for the silent auction! August 14, 2021, 2nd Saturday Art Night, in Courthouse Square downtown Sonora from 5:00-8:00 pm!
Railtown 1897 State Historic Park donated 36 very unusual chairs to benefit Tuolumne County Arts, a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization so TCA put out a call to artists to pick up a chair and begin to transform it into a work of art. The artists have been working all summer to complete their projects.
There are wacky chairs, beautiful chairs, themed chairs and tiny toddler chairs. A seat for everyone!
You may see some of the first completed chairs displayed in the windows at 146 S. Washington St and you can SEE and EARLY BID on the chairs as they are completed on our website at https://www.mytuolumnecountyarts.org. Deadline for chairs to return is August 1 so keep checking back as more chairs are added.
Tuolumne County Arts is located at 21 N. Washington St and is open Thursday – Saturday 11-4:00 pm. Bringing arts accessibility and arts education to Tuolumne County artists, students, residents, and visitors!
