Dave Bunnell is a world traveler whose hiking trails take him into caves and caverns that hold underground wonders. He is a renowned photographer and cave expert in our region. He currently resides in Angels Camp. Bunnell says that the Mother Lode’s geology in particular is a source of fascination.
NATURAL BRIDGES OF CALAVERAS COUNTY is his latest book and is a stunning collection of his photographs of one of nature’s most curious geological features, located off Parrotts Ferry Road. His presentation will include a show highlighting the caves in our own area including both show caves on and off the tourist trails, and some of the many undeveloped caves hidden in the foothills. Bunnell will accompany his extensive presentation of cave images with a captivating narration of his explorations under the earth.
The presentation is a free public event and all ages are welcome. It is sponsored by the Tuolumne County Historical Society.
