Give Life-Saving Blood on March 28, 2023, at the Calaveras Community Blood Drive

Severe blood shortages have created a crisis for those who rely on life-saving blood. Your blood donations are especially crucial this month. If you are a returning donor or a first-time donor, you can help save lives by donating on March 28, 2023.

The Calaveras Community Foundation (CCF) and Vitalant continue to partner in order to collect lifesaving blood. Blood donated ensures that there is blood when it is needed.  In addition to saving lives, Vitalant rewards donors each month with their recognition program. During the month of March, donors have a chance to win one of two $10,000 prepaid gift cards! The donation process is easy and only takes approximately an hour to complete.

Preparing for your donation is simple, first make an appointment by going to donors.vitalant.org and use blood drive code SMFM399. You can also call 877-258-4825 to make an appointment. On the day of your donation be sure to bring your photo I.D., eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water. Donors must be 16 years or older, 16 year old donors need to have a signed Vitalant parent consent form.

The Calaveras Community Foundation is proud to sponsor and supporter of the Calaveras Community blood drives. The CCF understands the importance of giving back to the community. The CCF has provided over $3,000,000 in competitive grants, scholarships, and assistance since 2000.

Besides emergency cases, there are so many individuals who rely on regular blood transfusions to stay alive. You can help them continue their fight by simply donating blood, knowing you helped save a life is a great feeling.

This month’s blood drive is on March 28, 2023, from 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm. Come to the San Andreas Town Hall at 24 Church Hill Road. The community needs your support more than ever.

The CCF and the community thank you for being a blood donor. By donating blood you will be joining the community to help save lives with us!
