The Calaveras Community Band invites you to its annual Fall Concert on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at 3:00 p.m., at the Dr. Elliott A. Smart Performing Arts Center at Bret Harte High School in Angels Camp. This Fall Concert is free, family-friendly, first-rate, and fantastic! The Calaveras Community Band has been in existence since the 1880s, and it is something special! The 30+ member Band consists of all ages, from teenagers to octogenarians, and they all have one thing in common: they love to play music! Conducted by Mic Harper, the Band will be playing old favorites such as Glenn Miller’s “In The Mood,” Hoagy Carmichael’s “Stardust,” and Rodgers & Hart’s “Blue Moon.” The program also includes “Birdland,” Aaron Copland’s beautiful “Appalachian Spring,” as well as other works. Your ears and your tapping toes will not be disappointed. Dancing in the aisles is greatly encouraged.
