Tuolumne River Trust staff and volunteers will come along on this month’s Tuolumne County Trailhead hike. At just under 6 miles and following the high-water level of Don Pedro Lake, the Shoreline Trail offers a moderately-easy hike. There will be waterfowl, possibly Great Blue Herons, Bald Eagles, Ospreys, and Red-tailed Hawks, and a clear day, you can see the high Yosemite peaks. Bring water, trail snacks/lunch. The Tuolumne County Trailhead program airs on KAAD-LP 103.5 FM (Sonora’s community radio station) on second and fourth weekends at 12:30pm; hikes are monthly on first Saturdays.
