Central Sierra Audubon Society (CSAS) invites community members to join them in various birding outings in the next month. The schedule for outings follows:

Pelican Trail, San Joaquin River National Wildlife Refuge on Friday, April 29. The Pelican Trail is considered the #2 birding hot spot in Stanislaus County. The Nature Trail is located at 2713 Dairy Rd., Vernalis. From Hwy 132 out of Modesto, turn left onto S. River Rd., then left on to Dairy Rd., then right into the parking lot. Meet at 7:30 a.m. in Barrow’s Restaurant parking lot in Sonora to carpool or meet at the trailhead at 9 a.m.

West Side Trail out of Tuolumne at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3;

Groveland Community Services District, 8 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4; 15589 Wards Ferry Rd. area at 8 a.m. on Thursday, May 12;

Confidence Trail out of Twain Harte at 8 a.m. on Thursday, May 19 and Indigeny Reserve off Bald Mountain Rd. at 8 a.m. on Sunday, May 29.
