Aronos Book Club Sets First Meeting
The Aronos Research Club is launching a book club and the entire community is welcome to join in.
The first meeting is set for Tuesday, February 13 at 11 at the Aronos Clubhouse located at 37 Elkin Street in downtown Sonora just uphill from the Red Church.
Participants will discuss what approach to take and set plans for the future. This activity is coordinated by Cathie Hollins. She can be reached at thatsnoscrap@yahoo.com
The Aronos Research Club has served the community for the past 109 years. With 36 members, the club is largest in the Yosemite District of the California Federation of Women’s Clubs. Both men and women are welcome to become members.
The Aronos Research Club has owned their historic clubhouse since 1936. The club participates in a variety of service projects throughout the year including creating Valentine’s Day Cards for the homebound, hosting Coffee With A Cop for community members to meet with local law enforcement officers, and raising funds for Columbia College scholarships.
