A Fire On The Mountain Presentation, “Hot Fun In The Summertime” returns to Twain Harte for its 42nd and last year. The show runs Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28 from 10 a.m. to 5p.m., and admission is free.
Artist booths are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and wind around Eproson House, down Cedar Drive and Joaquin Gully. Entertainment runs continuously on the Main Stage.
Nearly 100 high caliber artists will display and sell their fine wares which include watercolors, landscape photography, metal sculpture, iron work, pottery, candles, fine jewelry of gold and silver, clothing and accessories, woven socks, shoes, woodworks, stained glass, folk art, florals, bird houses, bird feeders, leather goods, soaps and lotions, garden art and a face painter. All items are made by the artists. Gourmet food products include olive oils, vinegars, mustards, marinades, spice dips and more.
A wide variety of meals and treats will be available for purchase including BBQ sausage sandwiches, hamburgers, tri-tip, chicken, hot dogs, Indian tacos, kettle corn, snow cones and fruit bars. Most of the local restaurants will also be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Vietnam Veterans Chapter will be selling beer near the Main Stage all weekend while the custom hot rod car show will be shown at Twain Harte Center in the midst of the fair. For more info on the car show, call Dennis at 209-586-4092.

A Twain Harte Festival tradition for many years, a Saturday only wine tasting event showcases vintners from Amador, Calaveras, Mendocino, Sonoma, Stanislaus and Tuolumne counties and runs from noon to 3 p.m. at Meadow Plaza, a one block walk down Meadow Drive, next to the CDF Fire Station. This festival helps benefit many local community organizations.
