The Donate Life Run/Walk helps raise awareness of the need for organ and tissue donors in California and Nevada. All proceeds from the event will benefit Donor Network West’s efforts to inspire California and Nevada residents to register to be a donor and to honor the donors and their families who have already given the Gift of Life.
Anyone may participate from virtually anywhere by running/walking outside, on the treadmill, running/walking solo or in small groups (according to local restrictions while respecting social distancing). Participants will receive an official race t-shirt, commemorative finisher’s medal, downloadable bib and access to the virtual goody bag. This is an opportunity to not only connect with each other and participate in something positive, but to continue to create awareness about organ and tissue donation.
Donor Network West’s mission is, to put it simply, is to save lives. During such a time of uncertainty, it’s important to remember that thousands and thousands of people are still waiting for an organ transplant. Ending that wait by becoming an organ donor means giving them a second chance at life. We encourage our community to honor our donors who have given the Gift of Life.
