We're baffled by the proposed city of Sonora’s resolution that references the city's gold rush history and the mistreatment of indigenous Chinese and Mexican minorities nearly two centuries ago. Unless the city has continued to practice that abhorrent and clearly illegal miss treatment. This action simply panders to the new woke movement that presumes racism and misogynism is always in practice everywhere.
