Accused Arsonist Denies Charges

A Fresno man suspected in a string of wildland and structural arson fires plead innocent yesterday to setting
one of the blazes. James Haag denied that he set the five-acre Powerhouse fire near Auberry. He also is suspected of lighting the still-burning Highway 180 fire
and several past fires in Mariposa, Fresno and Santa Cruz counties and in Southern California. He has not been charged for those fires.
