Governor Davis announced today that California paid less for power last month than in June and May. The
state paid 909 million dollars to buy electricity in July. That´s nearly 100 million dollars less than in June, and more than one billion dollars less than in May.
Davis aides attributed the decline in costs to long term power contracts.
