Fire Season 2001 Begins Earlier Than Expected

Due to extemely warm and dry conditions already posing a danger-California fire officials have declared an
early start to wildfire season. The fire season, which normally begins June first, includes state CDF officials hiring extra staff to work around the clock in the
state´s 21 forest and fire districts.
