The Lake To Themselves

A powerboat has New Melones Reservoir to itself as it cuts through the late afternoon sun´s reflection near the Highway 49 bridge. As fall weather slips into the Mother Lode, numbers of recreational boats plying area lakes drops, as does the water level and temperatures. Daytime temperatures should stay in the 70s through the week, dipping into the 60-degree range this weekend.
