UC Merced Construction Given OK

A Merced County Superior Court judge has given the University of California approval to begin construction on its new Merced campus. Judge William Ivey rejected a suit by environmental groups in ruling that plans for the campus meet state laws. Environmentalists claim university officials didn´t adequately evaluate the campus´ impact on air pollution and water quality.
