Fatal Accident On Sonora Pass

A 49-year-old Truckee man is dead, after a single vehicle accident Friday evening on Sonora Pass. Highway patrol officers say James L. Hembree Jr. was headed east on Highway 108 in a Jeep Wrangler, when his wheel drifted onto the shoulder near Clark’s fork road. He over corrected and the vehicle rolled several times, ejecting him. Hembree was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 5:30.
