Drug Sweep Taking Place In The Sonora Area

19 local residents are behind bars this afternoon after a county wide drug sweep by local law enforcement officials. The Sonora Police Department, Tuolumne and Calaveras county Sheriffs deputies as well as officers from the county probation department and the Highway Patrol set out this morning with 24 arrest warrants. Arrests were made in the downtown Sonora area as well as Columbia, Soulsbyville and other local communities. Today´s sweep culminates a five and a half month investigation.
