New SoCal Fire Quelled

A new wildfire broke out Saturday about 30 miles east of San Diego, racing over about 120 acres of extremely dry brush. About 300 firefighters brought it to a halt overnight. Some firefighters were to remain at the scene putting out hotspots in the fire area. Late in the afternoon it had threatened scattered homes in the rugged Lakeside area.
