Gold Miner Death Plea Heard

A pair of Sierra County gold miners charged with a fatal mine accident pleaded innocent yesterday. Michael Miller, owner of the Original Sixteen to One Mine in Allegheny, and mine manager Jonathan Farrell are charged with involuntary manslaughter and failure to comply with occupational safety regulations resulting in the 2000 accidental death of miner Mark Fussell.
