Minor Injuries For Struck Pedestrian

Law enforcement officers say a man who was hit and injured by a passing vehicle just before 1 p.m. today near Columbia suffered only minor injuries. The driver of the car who apparently struck the pedestrian is being questioned by authorities. The accident was near the intersection of Parrots Ferry and Highway 49. The 33 year-old victim, David J. Rose, was taken to Sonora Community Hospital for treatment and released.
