Sacramento, CA -- Governor Jerry Brown has signed 18 bills designed to help military Veterans living in California.

The laws had mostly bi-partisan support in the state legislature. Some of the changes include allowing Veterans with military commercial licenses to receive a commercial drivers license without additional testing, increases the number of years Veterans receive priority registration at state universities, reinstates benefits that were previously denied based solely on the Veterans sexual orientation, and adds fees to hunting and fishing licenses to help Veterans recovering from injuries or illnesses.

The bills were signed by the Governor on Thursday.
