Highway 120/108 Open After Major Accident
Sonora, CA -- Traffic is moving smoothly on Highway 108 at Lovers Leap today, however that was not the case yesterday.
The Highway Patrol closed the highway in both directions at 4:30pm due to a three vehicle accident.
Reports indicate a driver hit a sign on the roadway, which started a grass fire, and then crashed into another car head on.
The roadway was closed for more than two and a half hours due to disabled vehicles and medical equipment on the scene.
At least one person was airlifted to a hospital from the scene of the accident.
