No Letdown In Summer Activity For The City Of Sonora

Sonora, CA -- The summer of ´08 is proving to be an extremely busy one for the City of Sonora.

City Administrator Greg Applegate states that "behind the scenes" progress is being made on the Lowe´s Project that will be developed by California Gold Development Corporation on Old Wards Ferry Rd. directly across the street from the Prudential California Realty-Starbucks Building.

Applegate adds that, "We are going through the administrative draft of the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) that is being prepared for the city´s Planning Commission. That draft will then be released to the advisory agencies and then be made available to the public for review."

Applegate said that hopefully certification of the EIR will occur before the Holiday Season and the City would have a project beginning shortly after the first of the year.
