Central Fire District Names New Chief
Mountain Ranch, CA -- John MacMillan of Lebanon, Oregon has been named as the new fire chief of the Central Calaveras Fire and Rescue Protection District.
MacMillian will be replacing Interim Fire Chief Terry Miller on March 1. Miller will assume his previous position as captain.
Central Fire serves approximately 5,000 Calaveras County residents living within a 200 square mile area with five stations, five paid personnel and 18 volunteers.
Central Fire handled over 450 service calls last year.
