Copperopolis Man Injured In Collision
Copperopolis, Ca -- A 28-year-old Copperopolis man suffered major injuries following a vehicle collision on Stagecoach Rd. at the Surrey Ln. intersection Tuesday evening near Copperopolis.
According to the CHP, David Stephens failed to yield at the intersection and was struck by a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Matthew Smith of Angels Camp. The CHP notes that an associated factor was that Smith was driving at a speed in excess of the posted limit.
Stephens suffered a broken leg. The accident was reported at 7:20pm.
