Victim Identified In Fatal San Andreas ATV Accident
San Andreas, Ca -- 67 year-old Lawrence Castro was fatally injured following an ATV accident on his private property on Lombardi St. north of San Andreas this afternoon.
According to CHP Sgt. Lori Harmon, Castro was attempting to negotiate a fairly steep hill when his vehicle rolled backwards on top of him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident was reported shortly after 3pm.
Castro was not wearing a protective helmet. Officer Jaime Castillo states that helmets for ATV drivers are used by many, but they are not required under the law.
