Columbia, CA -- The Yosemite Community College District will be watching the May 19th special election closely.

If Proposition 1C is not approved, the District will lose $5 million. $1.5 million of those funds are marked for Columbia College.

“For Columbia College, that’s just about 20 percent of the operating budget,” says Dr. Roe Darnell, Yosemite Community College District Chancellor. “Without that money, we will have to really cut back on services to students and classes.”

Proposition 1C borrows money from future lottery revenue.
