Sonora, CA -- Absentee ballots were mailed out yesterday in preparation of the June 8th primary election.

Tuolumne County Clerk and Auditor Controller Debi Russell says 62 percent of Tuolumne County voters are currently choosing to vote by mail. The number has been increasing over recent years, as in November of 2008, it was 56 percent.

The absentee ballots must be returned in the mail by Election Day. They can also be dropped off at the Election's Office at 2 South Green Street in Sonora or at your individual polling location on June 8th.
