Northern California Continues To Burn

Sacramento, CA — 330 fires continue to burn in northern California the largest of which is the Basin Complex or the Big Sur Fire which has burned approximately 74,500 acres as of Sunday.

That fire is only 11 percent contained.

Overall 597,910 California acres have burned since those June 21st lightning strikes. According to CBS News CAL Fire spent its entire ´08 summer budget of $82 million in the month of June.
