Area Football Teams Victorious In First Round Of Playoffs
Sonora, CA -- Area football teams were victorious in round one of the high school football playoffs Friday night.
Sonora defeated Whitney 20-7. Sonora will now face the undefeated Lincoln Fighting Zebras in Lincoln next Friday.
Summerville defeated Ripon 33-0. Summerville will take on the Central Catholic Raiders in Modesto next Friday.
Calaveras defeated Dixon 18-14. Calaveras, the seventh seed in the bracket knocked off the two seed and will now face Placer next week.
