Kuntz Formally Announces Run For Calaveras Sheriff
San Andreas, CA -- Gary Kuntz, a former Lieutenant with the Calaveras County Sheriff's Department, made a formal announcement Tuesday evening that he will run for Sheriff in 2010.
Kuntz gathered with supporters at 5pm on the steps of the Calaveras County Government Center to officially kick off the campaign. Kuntz was laid off from the Department on July 31st due to budget cuts. He says he has been planning to run for Sheriff for approximately the past year and a half.
