From The League Of California Cities, "We've Had Enough"

Sonora, CA -- Come the November, 2010 General Election the League of California Cities will sponsor a ballot measure entitled The Local Taxpayers Public Safety and Transportation Act.
According to Sonora City Administrator Greg Applegate, "If this ballot measure is passed the measure will definitely close such loopholes as the state borrowing, raiding or otherwise redirecting local government property taxes, redevelopment, gas taxes, Prop. 42 and public transportation funds, etc.
This is an ongoing boondoggle that has just really devastated local government and so at this point this Transportation Act. will certainly add to the measure and give us the protection we need from the state taking what rightfully belongs to us."
