T.C. Special Olympics Teams Capture Gold And Silver

Yuba City, CA -- Two Tuolumne County Special Olympic teams captured gold and silver medals respectively at last weekend's Northern California Softball-T Ball Tournament at the Blackburn Tally Sports Complex.
The 12 members of the softball team all received gold medals for winning three straight games by the final scores of 16-0, 14-0 and 16-5.
The 10 members of the T-Ball team took home silver medals. The T-Ball team won its opening two games Saturday, 18-16 and 9-8 but dropped the Sunday morning championship game to Napa 14-12.
This marked the first year that Tuolumne County participated in regional softball and T-Ball Special Olympics competition.
