Tuolumne Resident Arrested On Numerous Charges

Sonora, CA -- 37 year old Charles "Charlie" Thomas Anderson of Tuolumne is housed in the Tuolumne County Jail today on charges of kidnapping, battery, resisting arrest and violation of parole.

Thursday the sheriff´s department received a call of a male assaulting a female inside Chicken Ranch Bingo. Assisted by a state parole agent, deputies responded and learned that Anderson was the person responsible, but he had departed the scene. Evidence and witness statements demonstrated that he had assaulted his female companion and forcefully removed her from the casino. That can be considered kidnapping.

Anderson attempted to escape when he was spotted by his parole officer. He was eventually captured and taken into custody after being pepper sprayed.

Anderson was booked into the county jail with no bail.
