Fire Destroys Fraguero Rd. Garage

Sonora, CA -- Fire completely destroyed a garage located at 9040 Fraguero Rd. off Hwy. 49 north of Sonora this morning.

The fire also caused extensive damage to one end of the private residence. CAL FIRE Investigator Craig Hart states the fire caused $10,000 to the structure and $5,000 to the structure´s contents. A Chevrolet Astrovan suffered $1,000 damage and there was $500 damage to a boat.

Power was lost to the residence. The Red Cross quickly responded to the needs of the occupants. There were no injuries to the residents or to the firefighters.

Cause of the fire remains under investigation by CAL FIRE officials and Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department deputies.
