Fire Causes $100,000 Damage To Twain Harte Residence

Twain Harte, CA -- Firefighters successfully extinguished a residential structure fire at 20935 Tuolumne Rd. North this morning before it spread to a majority of the home.

?Several fire units responded and found a heavy fire condition in the attic area of the structure, mostly confined to the rear area over the kitchen,? says Batallion Chief Darin McKinney. ?Right now it appears that the fire originated on the rear deck of the structure.?

The two-story home and its contents are valued at around $700,000, and the fire did an estimated $100,000 in damage. The family was in the home when the fire started during the seven o´clock hour, and everyone was able to escape uninjured. McKinney says that the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Officers were on scene conducting one-way traffic control operations this morning along Tuolumne Rd. North.
